Some of our favorite photos from Kayla's session at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park and the Benson Sculpture Park in Loveland
Some of our favorite photos from Megan's Senior session in Fort Collins and Berthoud
Some of our favorite photos from Ashton's Senior Session in downtown Fort Collins and Horsetooth Reservoir.
We forgot about all the St. Patrick's Day festivities in downtown Denver when we scheduled Tessa's senior portrait session. It took over an hour to drive a few miles into the downtown area but the overcast sky worked perfectly to create beautiful soft lighting for her portraits with a little help from our small supplemental lights. We also photographed senior portraits for Tessa's sister Sarah several years ago. Tessa's high school allows senior to design a full page in the yearbook so Tessa and Sarah now get to choose their favorite photos and start designing. We wish them luck!
We took Collins on a tour through Old Town Fort Collins for his senior portraits on a warm Indian Summer afternoon. The afternoon light was perfect for portraits. We also ventured to Horsetooth reservoir right around sunset which made for some dramatic images.
Emma chose the CSU Annual Trial Gardens for her senior portrait session. We met on an overcast fall day and found some fun and colorful locations for her photos. It didn't take long for Emma to get comfortable in front of the camera. We supplemented the natural lighting to remove some of the shadows and ended p with a great selection of beautiful photos.
We met Zach in Old Town Fort Collins to explore some of the fun urban locations and even some of the less traveled back alleys. We didn't finish until after sunset so we had a chance to photograph with some beautiful orange clouds in the background. Zach's guitar was a great addition to some of his images.
Jared wanted to do his senior portraits in some of the same kind of settings as his brother Cody had last year. We started out early on a Saturday morning at Horsetooth reservoir and got some great shots around the rocks and lake. Jared chose a longer session so we could also travel to downtown Fort Collins and photograph in some of the alleys. The great folks at Old Firehouse Books let us use the area behind their store which was inaccessible due to construction. Thanks! Have a great senior year Jared.

Hayden was looking for a little edgier senior photos with an urban feel. Where better than old town Fort Collins. Downtown was packed for first Friday but we managed to find a number of interesting spots that I had not photographed before. Hayden has a great, easy going, personality that made for a fun session and some great photos!

We met Linnea up the Big Thompson Canyon outside of Loveland Colorado at Viestenz Smith Mountain Park. It is a place she and her family have been many times. With only a hint of rain in the air we found many spots around the park and along the river for great portraits. Thanks Linnea for going along with some of our photo ideas, I think you really enjoy them.

Alli selected the CSU annual flower trial garden in Fort Collins for her senior portrait session. We had a beautiful afternoon with late day sun adding a beautiful warm tone to the photos. We found some great non-traditional spots and even got to include her dog Oreo in a few.

We brought Dylan to an out of the way spot along the Spring Creek in Fort Collins for his senior photos. We talked and joked with Dylan and his dad and made it a great experience. Considering he answered our pre-session questionnaire that he'd "rather eat dirt" than have his photograph taken, I think we surprised him with how fun we could make our session and we have some great photos to prove it.
Jeffrey wanted his senior photos taken at one of his favorite places, Ferrari - Maserati - Bentley - Lotus of Denver. Mark Dismuke was extremely accommodating and made Jeffrey's visit one to remember. Jeffrey chose his favorite automobiles for his photos and we spent several hours exploring and admiring the amazing machines. Although the Maseratis and Ferraris were exciting, Jeffrey's favorite was actually one of the Bentleys. Pure elegance. Now its off to college to start working on a downpayment on one of his own.
Sandie had picked out some fun "urban" downtown Fort Collins locations for her senior portrait session. We found a mix of graffiti, back alley painted walls and old porches all within the same block. Sandie was a pleasure to photograph with a variety of expressions as the session progressed and a nice mix of clothing styles. She got plenty of her favorite looks in her photos and plenty for mom to frame as well. We took care of getting her photo directly to the yearbook well before the deadline. We liked one of her photos so well it ended up on our 2011 senior advertising. Thanks for a great session Sandie.
We photographed Meg's senior portraits at the Colorado State University Annual Flower Trial Gardens near the CSU Center for the Arts and the old Fort Collins High School. She seemed really at ease in the beautiful gardens surrounded by her favorite colors.
Jenna chose Viestenz Smith Mountain Park and the CSU Annual Flower Trial Garden for her senior photos. The weather was just right for playing in the Big Thompson River and exploring the huge rocks on its banks. The CSU flower garden was in full bloom so we had lots of color options to complement her styles. We kept on photographing until the sun was long past setting and savored the last rays of deep orange light.
We had a great time taking Ashley to our favorite sites all around Northern Colorado for her senior portraits. Ashley especially wanted a mountain backdrop for her portraits so she and her parents came all the way from Omaha for us to photograph her. Ashley's portrait session spanned 2 days and we visited locations such as the Loveland Feed and Grain building, Viestenz-Smith Park, CSU Experimental Gardens and Horsetooth reservoir.

Today we had the pleasure of photographing Cody, a Fort Collins High School senior. Cody chose some of our favorite locations for his session, old town Fort Collins and in the rocks overlooking Horsetooth Reservoir. Cody has a very natural smile and warmed up to the camera very quickly. With Sharon handling our remote lighting we photographed well past sunset for some truly unforgettable images. Thanks to Cody and Tina for permitting us to capture such unique memories.

When it comes to Senior pictures, many guys just aren't as comfortable with the process and for many of them they would rather take a snap shot and use that then spend an hour or 2 taking photographs. Mike was no exception, his Mom called us for help because she really wanted photographs and didn't know how to get him excited about it. As we talked on the phone, I suggested that someone who is close to Mike come with him instead of her to help support him. On the day of the shoot, Mike's girlfriend came with him and she helped him relax and even joined him for a photo. Whether a male or female, it is definitely something to consider, sending someone to come along who will help to encourage relaxation and laughter. Here is the video from that day!
This week we got to go to Denver to photograph Kim's high school senior portraits. She greeted us with such excitment I knew this was going to be a really fun day. We walked all around downtown and along the river.Kim was a natural! She tired positioned herself often how she felt comfortable which madethe pictures looknatural. As we got towards the end Kim said I have been dreaming about how this day would go and it was exactly what I wanted! Here is a video for kim's photos:
