Recent Work
We blog highlights of our recent sessions to give you a glimpse of the great clients we work with and the wide variety of styles we deliver at numerous locations around Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Northern Colorado.
What a pleasure it was to photograph Rachel and Jeremy's wedding last weekend. We had gorgeous weather, and the entire carefully planned event went off without a hitch. I am really hoping their families will invite me back soon for their next big event. The ceremony took place at Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Fort Collins. The church is not only beautiful inside but we found several great locations right outside for photos too. We stopped by the Chapungu Sculpture Park in Loveland for a few romantic photos and then completed our trek at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Loveland. The staff at the Embassy Suites delivered impeccable service and the food was superb. Sean from Sounds of the Rockies was the DJ and played a great selection of music and kept both the dance floor hopping and the event on track. Congratulations Rachel and Jeremy!
I was a little chilly in Loveland for Adrienne and Kyle's engagement session but the sun was out and we had a good time wandering around one of my favorite photo spots. We are looking forward to photographing their wedding at the Tapestry House in August.
We had a warm fall day and great fall colors for Rachael's senior sessions. We explored Roland Moore Park one day and then downtown Fort Collins another day which gave Rachael a chance to try out a different hair style. Great idea Rachael and great photos!
We had beautiful late summer weather for Alexandra's senior session at Horsetooth Reservoir. She was extremely at ease which allowed us to get very natural expressions and great at maneuvering through the rocks too.
Emily chose to do her senior session at her home in Ft. Collins. It turned out to be a wonderful spot for photos with a nice acreage including Fossil Creek and her horses for a nice backdrop. Even the cat and dog joined in.
Kim and Cale came from Alaska to celebrate their wedding at the Tapestry House in La Porte with local family and friends. The weather cooperated beautifully with a very warm and sunny day for late October. The exquisite old house made a perfect backdrop for the event and the photos.
We met Addison in Old Town Fort Collins on a warm and sunny October morning. We got to some new locations we have not been to before and got some great images.Enjoy.
Megan and I have been excited about photographing Erika and Nick's wedding for over a year. A traditional ceremony at the beautiful Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, a reception at the Aspen Lodge and lots of time for some romantic portraits around Estes Park with a fun couple, what's not to like. Then they turned up the excitement level by planning a Trash the Dress session the day after near Horsetooth reservoir where they planned to ride their mountain bikes in full wedding attire and then leap into the water. Oh the photo possibilities began to dance in our heads. Well the day finally arrived and the photos speak for themselves. Not even some afternoon showers slowed this couple down. Here's a preview of images with more to come once they are all edited.
Dora was happy that we offered senior sessions in Denver as she had spent a lot of time there and had some locations in mind. Although we were surprised by some closed locations and a major event near the Denver Art Museum, the weather was perfect and we got some amazing images. Dora has a very natural smile and was at ease during her session. Check out the beautiful portraits.
We spent over 2 hours with Emma photographing in Roland Moore Park and Downtown Fort Collins with beautiful late summer weather. Emma had been thinking about her senior photos for a long time and was open to try out some new ideas. She loves music and reading so we made sure to get photos of her just being herself and doing what she loves. Emma had great natural expressions and I think her photos really captured her fun personality.
Megan and I spent time with Rachel and Jeremy up at Horsetooth Reservoir one recent afternoon celebrating their engagement with photos. We will be photographing their wedding at Redeemer Lutheran Church next June with a reception at the Embassy Suites in Loveland.
Some of our favorite photos from Kayla's session at Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park and the Benson Sculpture Park in Loveland
Angela and Eric had warm and sunny day for their intimate wedding in the heart of Fort Collins. Eric got his first look at Angela in her wedding dress at the CSU oval. We took some fun and romantic photos there before heading to St. John's Lutheran Church for the ceremony. The church has beautiful stained glass and nice traditional look. Following the ceremony the guests convened at Jay's Bistro where they were treated to an amazing array of appetizers and dinner choices that looked just as good as they tasted. My assistant Austin got the images loaded quickly into the Macbook so that we were able to show a quick preview of images from earlier in the day along with images from the engagement session. Thanks Angela and Eric for giving us the opportunity to take some fun and unique photos.
We had a warm and sunny day in Denver photographing Mary and Robbie's wedding. We started out in an expansive suite on the top floor of the Westin Downtown spending time with Mary and her 8 brides maids. The ceremony was held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church which has a beautiful traditional interior. Back at the Westin, we started our romantic photo walk outdoor but finished on the pool deck which has amazing views of the city and it was right at Sunset which provided us with some beautiful warm light. We spent the rest of the evening in the Augusta Room with great views of downtown. Everyone was up for lots of dancing. Congratulations Mary and Robbie and thanks for allowing us to share in your special day. Here's a sneak peek at your wedding day images.

Some of our favorite photos from Ashton's Senior Session in downtown Fort Collins and Horsetooth Reservoir.
Jessica and Jared came from Indiana to share their special day with family and friends in Estes Park. The views were spectacular from the pavilion at the Black Canyon Inn and the weather was perfect. Sandra and staff catered the reception at the Twin Owls Steakhouse on site. Flower girl Adelaide and ring bearer Nathan were at big hit complete with top hat and flower crown along with the 20 something elk that appeared quite at home near the lake. We took a few minutes right after sunset for some very beautiful and romantic photos outside. There will also be a reception in Indiana after Jessica and Jared return from their honeymoon that we will be supplying a music video for. Have a great time everyone.
It was shaping up to be a sunny afternoon for Kristen and Jeff's wedding. My trusty assistant Austin and I headed for the CSU oval where Jeff was going to get a first look at Kristen in her wedding dress and we would stroll around CSU for some romantic portraits. We arrived extra early only to find the oval was closed off for a bike race! Time for plan B. We skirted the many CSU construction areas to check out another of my favorite spots. No events there, success. I called Jeff and we re-directed everyone to the new spot without skipping a beat. Following a beautiful gazebo ceremony and meal in the events area behind Avogadro's Number in downtown Fort Collins the weather surprised us with some sprinkles. The wedding reception proceeded smoothly both indoor and out and a great time was had by all. Thanks for inviting us, Kristen and Jeff, to witness and capture your wedding story.
Diana and Tim's wedding day started with a beautiful ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic church in Denver including roses for the mothers and grandmother. One of the fun moments during the ceremony that will be remembered for some time was when Tim dropped the ring and it took some time to find where it had rolled to. Grant Humphreys mansion was a perfect setting for the reception complete with lawn games as the guests were gathering. The toasts reminded us of the amazing accomplishments of this wonderful couple and their families serving their communities and the less fortunate around the world. The building's charm became even more evident as the sun began to set and it reflected the warm colors. We ended the day with some very special time for romantic photos around the mansion after all had left. What a perfect setting to capture this amazing couple.
